QWhy can't I just download Pornhub/XHamster videos in the browser?
Their streams use per-segment AES-128 encryption with keys that must be fetched and applied locally during playback. Browsers enforce strict security policies that block this kind of local decryption from third-party scripts — it's not a bug, it's intentional.
